Olgani Naturals founder, Olga Niemkiewicz grew up in Poland and using natural ingredients was an integral part of her lifestyle. In the 80’s, Olga and her husband settled in Cape Town and soon Olga became familiar with the abundance of natural ingredients available in our beautiful city.

And so our journey of a vision to offer the world a natural source of holistic oral health care begins…

2004

Olga is diagnosed with a serious case of periodontal disease and sets out to remedy her oral health condition using her knowledge of natural remedies, despite her dentist’s insistence on removing the affected areas.
Olga formulates a herbal brushing salts and four months later the dentist responds with “I can’t believe my eyes!”

2006

Over the next two years Olga shares her brushing salts remedy with friends and encouraged by the demand via word of mouth, Olga’s amazing adventure begins. The first Olgani product ‒ Oral Health Brushing Salts appears on the shelves of selected health stores in Cape Town.

2008

Olgani Naturals is officially founded, committing to being a brand that cares about the entire human body. We enter the market with our variants of brushing salts; Original, Green Tea and Aloe & Xylitol.
All ingredients are optimally considered to not only improve oral health, but also to ensure an overall health-promoting effect on the entire body.

2014

After four years of research and development, we introduce to South Africa, the first toothpaste with 100% natural, edible ingredients, our Herbal Refreshing Toothpaste with unique NutrireB base.

NutrireB is our blend of mineral-rich rice flour, sea salt, sesame and coconut oil which is non-abrasive of precious tooth enamel yet being a thorough and gentle cleaning agent.

2015

We notice the lack of glycerin-free mouth washes on the market and develop two products in powder form ‒ Clove & Xylitol Mouth Wash and Sage & Spearmint Mouth Wash. Olgani Mouth Washes are easy to use and handy to keep with you for a quick, any-time cleansing of your mouth and teeth. For added convenience they can also be used as brushing salts.

2016

As teeth are naturally re-mineralized by the minerals in saliva, it made perfect sense to us to create a product that adds minerals to saliva and when used before going to sleep will enhance this natural body process.
We create the first ever toothpaste recommended for use before sleep, our Mineral Rich Evening Toothpaste.

2017

In January of 2017 we successfully launch our Fruity Orange Toothpaste, designed for the younger generation utilizing Liquorice extract and trace amounts of Xylitol for their health benefits.
In April we launch another first of its kind in South Africa, our Detoxifying Charcoal Toothpaste, an entirely natural detoxifying and whitening toothpaste, which quickly becomes our number one seller.

2018

Always striving to progress and offer what is required, we create a toothpaste for those with tooth sensitivity. Another first from Olgani is our Mighty Cocoa, the latest in our range of innovations.
The key to cocoa’s dental benefits is a substance called Theobromine, which works even better than fluoride. Studies have shown that Theobromine helps harden tooth enamel, making teeth less susceptible to decay.

2019

Even though we are very proud of how far we have come and how our brand has evolved, we continue to propel ourselves to excel in what we can offer you.  We look forward, whilst revisiting the past, to dig up truth, and use cutting edge scientific knowledge, to combine natural ingredients in a manner that is beneficial to us all.

2020

With the introduction of our Zero Paste, Zero Waste initiative, we offer the best option for natural oral health care in an environmentally friendly plastic-free packaging.  Our Toothpowers have been exceptionally well received and we are thrilled to have been able to lighten our footprint.

• Charcoal & Cocoa Toothpowder provides the combined effectiveness of Olgani Detoxifying Charcoal and Mighty Cocoa toothpaste.
